Hope Sumrow grew up in DeSoto, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2015. While at Texas A&M, she became a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and was on the Dean's List. In 2019, Ms. Sumrow attained her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated cum laude. At SMU, Ms. Sumrow was a member of the International Law Review, a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and was on the Dean's List.
After graduating, Ms. Sumrow worked for SBSB Law in Houston, Texas, where she worked on Longshore and Defense Base Act claims. In 2021, Ms. Sumrow returned to the Dallas area and began working at a local probate and estate planning firm in Richardson, Texas. In 2022, Ms. Sumrow became a prosecutor at the Ellis County and District Attorney's Office. During her time as an assistant district attorney, Ms. Sumrow handled everything from misdemeanor DWIs and assaults to felony child sex offenses, taking cases from intake to their final resolution.
At the firm, Ms. Sumrow primarily focuses on criminal defense work. She also handles probate and estate planning matters.
